My First Page

After taking various images from around the college I uploaded them to the computer saved them and uploaded my selected ones one by one to my first page. Using the PC program Adobe InDesign CS3 I edited them and put them in the place I wanted, how I wanted them. At first I would insert the image by clicking the 'Rectangle frame tool' to draw a rectangle, then insert my selected image by clicking File then Place to insert my selected image. After doing this I clicked the Object button the scrolled to the Transform button to rescale, rotate and fit my image to the rectangular  box. I also reshaped my photo to get a different shape other than rectangle, square and circle. I did this by clicking the white arrow below the top black arrow in the side  tool bar, and clicking on the corner of image to drag it in different ways.  The last thing I did was learn how to add a photo in a circular shape, I did this by holding the ' Rectangle frame tool" down to release the 3 sub-menus. I then clicked on 'Ellipse frame tool' and did exactly what I did with 'Rectangle frame tool'. I have not used this software before, however after doing this I learnt how to change the shapes of photos and fit them around things in which will become useful for future tasks.

Task 1: Getting to know Blogger

Things you can do with Blogger
  • Create a website for your own business/company for free.
  • Share videos, photos and pieces of text at an instant.
  • Post your views on a subject or topic as often as you like.
  • Follow other blogs similar to yours or blogs that appeal to you to receive information quickly
  • The template designer lets you design your webpage to appeal to your audience.
How I think Blogger will be useful for my coursework
  • Every time I update, edit or change my work I can blog about my work to show the changes I have made, why I made those changes, and why it works well that before etc.
  • It saves my work automatically, without interrupting typing or editing, therefore which gives me back up, ensuring I won't lose it.
  • Other people can view and comment on my blog and how I could improve because it is available to anyone who comes across it.
  • Available to anyone with internet - can be viewed via PCs, and mobiles through the blogger app.
  • Accessible from home PC with out needing to download any application.
